Planning for retirement can be tricky: it’s full of twists, turns, and not nearly enough road signs. Wouldn’t it be nice if you had a map, or maybe a checklist, for planning a successful retirement? This 3 course series is a detailed retirement planning seminar designed to educate those who are nearing retirement or who have recently retired.

Over the course of 3 classes we will cover the importance and basic strategies to plan a successful retirement, maximize your social security benefit, and position your portfolio to last. Our goal is to help make people aware of the challenges in retirement and teach them suitable ways to prepare and overcome them.

This class, open to the public and taught by Certified Financial Planner™ Robert Jeter, will examine various tax issues related to retirees. We will discuss how Social Security benefits are taxed, Medicare premiums,
RMDs (Required Minimum Distributions), charitable giving, and other tax-related items.
