Eric W. Johnston, CFP®, President & Financial Advisor

Eric is a Certified Financial Planner®. The CFP® mark identifies those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework, and have passed the CFP®. Certification Examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning. Mr. Johnston is the Founder and President of InFocus Financial Advisors, Inc. in Salisbury, MD. He has been a financial adviser to individuals and families on the Eastern Shore of Maryland since 1993. His mission is to provide solutions that will help accomplish the financial goals of the families with whom he works.

His clear focus is getting his clients started off prudently in retirement by providing in-depth, well-thought-out advice on retirement planning, social security strategies, Medicare advice, etc. He offers free initial no-obligation consultations. Some of the goals he has helped people pursue are retirement preparation, increasing social security income, proper retirement budgeting, avoiding loss of assets to long-term care costs, improving an investment strategy, and reducing estate tax on a large estate.

Eric is active in giving back to the local community.
  • Eric is a member of the Transformational Community Leadership cohort that tours businesses in Delmarva and interacts with their leadership – working together to increase awareness of community needs and work on solutions.
  • Eric is a member of the Executive Board of the Greater Salisbury Committee. GSC is a group of regional Presidents and CEOs of companies working together to find solutions to challenges in our area.
  • Eric has been an instructor at the Delaware Financial Literacy Institute and for the State of Maryland Pre-Retirement Program over the last ten years.
  • Eric is a founder of the Professional Partners of the Eastern Shore, a group that promotes financial advisors, attorneys, and CPAs working together for clients.
  • Eric served as the College Liaison on the board of the Eastern Shore Society of Human Resource Management.
  • He is a past member of the board of the Lower Shore Estate Planning Council and Delmarva Zoological Society.
  • He is a Past President and a Founding Father of The Delmarva Planned Giving Council.
  • He is a Past President of the Art Institute and Gallery where he oversaw a board of seventeen and four paid staff.
  • He has served on the board of the Friends of the Salisbury Zoo.
  • Eric is a past President of The Salisbury Junior Chamber of Commerce where he earned the Dean C. Patton Speaker of the Year Award. The Jaycees ran over 30 projects a year, had 168 members, and a board of directors of eighteen.
  • Eric is also active in his church having served on its Finance Council and assisting the Parish with their website design and communications. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
  • He has served on various committees in the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce and speaks regularly at events. Eric is currently developing a Leadership Development committee at the Chamber for developing our areas leaders in business and non-profit.
  • Above and beyond his business and volunteering, Eric was also an Adjunct Professor and has taught Finance 446 Retirement Planning at Salisbury University's Perdue School of Business.

Eric currently resides in Salisbury, Maryland with his wife, Heather, and their four children.

Robert Jeter, CFP®, CRPC®, Vice President & Financial Advisor

Robert is Vice President and a Financial Advisor serving families across Delmarva. He has been a financial advisor since 2012 upon his graduation from Salisbury University and returned to live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in 2016.

Robert is a Certified Financial Planner® and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™. In his role at InFocus Financial Advisors, he primarily provides advice and solutions to the firm’s clients. He is a member of the firm’s investment committee and as Vice President oversees the company’s day-to-day operations. You can see Robert frequently speaking to the public on a variety of topics usually focused on navigating retirement’s many challenges.

Robert is active in giving back to the local community.  
  • Robert is a current member of the Professional Partners of the Eastern Shore, a group that promotes financial advisors, attorneys, and CPAs working together for clients.
  • Robert is the current Vice President of the Southern Delaware Estate Planning Council, a group that promotes estate and financial planning education for professionals in Lower Delaware.
  • He was previously a board member for the Wicomico County Farm and Home Show, an event that draws over 40,000 visitors annually.
  • He was previously a member of the Young Professionals of Salisbury.
  • He currently teaches educational classes for the non-profit Delaware Money School on different retirement-related topics.
  • He is a volunteer instructor for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute through the University of Delaware speaking on different retirement-related topics.

Robert and his wife Kelly currently reside in Berlin, MD with their new son, Campe, and their Golden Retriever, Luna.

Carol Kurtz, CPA, PFS, Director of Operations

Carol is our Director of Operations.  She provides our client account services and investment strategy maintenance.  Whenever an operational need arises, Carol is the one to call. For our investment clients, when you need a distribution from your investment portfolio, or an account balance, or a tax form, she provides world-class client services. Carol is a Certified Public Accountant and Personal Financial Specialist. While we do not do taxes, Carol brings a great attitude and enormous abilities to our team.  Carol is a graduate of Salisbury University on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. 

Carol is active in giving back to the local community.

  • Carol is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
  • Carol is an active member of her church and serves as the current Treasurer.
  • Carol currently resides in Snow Hill, MD.

Gregory Holman, FPQP®, Senior Relationship Manager

As a Senior Relationship Manager and a Registered Administrative Assistant through Cetera Advisors LLC, Greg’s primary focus is on financial planning and forecasting for the firm and assisting the lead advisors to achieve retirement success for our clients. Greg has a strong passion for assisting clients in their financial affairs and is happy to be part of the InFocus Financial Advisors team. Greg has 8 years of finance experience ranging from Banking to Wealth Management and plans to stay in the business until the day he retires. Greg is a Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP®) and holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rutgers University. Greg likes to stay active in his free time by going to the gym, hiking, or any other activity that can get him outside.

Lindsey Cohen, Operations Associate

Lindsey is an Operations Associate here at InFocus. Lindsey’s primary focus is supporting the InFocus team by conducting investment and economic research. Lindsey is a member of the Investment Committee, which meets on a weekly basis to discuss risks and opportunities in the market and economy. Lindsey graduated from Salisbury University with a B.S. in Finance on the Financial Planning track. During her time at SU, Lindsey created a curriculum for high school students about personal finance and budgeting, which she taught at Parkside High School. In her free time, Lindsey loves traveling to new places.

Yes. We partner with Cetera Advisors, LLC who is an independent broker-dealer. That means we don’t offer proprietary products. We have access to a broad suite of investment options and products that we can select from to deliver solutions in the best interest of each and every one of our clients.

Not only can we refer you to other local professionals, we work in tandem with them to provide the best all around solutions for our clients. We pride ourselves on being part and leading local professional organizations to further team-based client solutions and our own knowledge base.

This is mostly up to you. Generally, in the first year there are typically more meetings as we get your initial planning completed and implemented. After the first year, we like to sit down with you 1-2 times a year for a full and in-depth financial review. Our team also provides regular market update webinars and regular communication so you will never miss something important happening in the market or around the office. We even throw in a few fun events and we’ll make sure that you don’t miss out.
